Rebecca Warren, or Becky as many friends and family call her, is the founder and sole proprietor of Rebecca L. Warren, Certified Public Accountant in Altus, Oklahoma.  With over 15 years of diverse Accounting experience, Becky has a proven background in handling complicated business matters but maintains a small enough firm that each client is considered a valuable partner. The success of this firm is measured by the success of each of its clients.

Becky began her Accounting career at Ernst & Young, LLP in Dallas, Texas.  It was there she gained valuable training from some of the leading Certified Public Account’s in the nation and worked directly on the audits of many SEC filings.  It was the time of the Internet Boom and work was fast paced and always exciting!

After a few years in the big city, Becky returned home to Southwest Oklahoma to work in Public Accounting preparing tax returns and providing full bookkeeping services. Growing up as the daughter of Kathleen A. Barnes, Certified Public Accountant, a sole proprietor in Duke, Oklahoma, a small practice serving friends and neighbors is what really appealed to her. Although the work was rewarding, after losing her mother and mentor to cancer, and after working out from under the double load of work she had just inherited, Becky made the decision to leave public accounting after seven years.

Becky was the Controller at Jackson County Memorial Hospital for almost six years but continued to serve tax clients for several years as well.  While working as Controller, her skills in Financial Analytics and Budget and Planning were definitely strengthened. In the very competitive environment of health care, with significant funding reductions at every turn, maintaining a healthy balance sheet only came from focused management and keen financial awareness.

Becky lives in Duke with her husband Todd, a fourth generation Jackson County farmer, and their two children Kalin and Garret.
